The button band on the cardigan is FINALLY FINISHED! Y'all I'm so happy with how it looks, but I am so done with this ribbing! Now that I've reinforced the button holes, it's on to the first sleeve... which, unfortunately, means a bit more ribbing. Oh well.
As for my other projects, it's been a slow week. I'm at a standstill with the jester hat, I decided that the light blue color was just too light and not quite purpley enough to be periwinkle. I've ordered some more yarn that I think will be closer to the color I want and in the meantime need to frog that light blue section.
The marled scarf I have not touched since last week and still have plenty of ends to weave in. My tank top has taken the majority of my attention and time, I'm at a place where I don't have to think too much about the pattern and just go round and round in the knit stitch until the length is to where I want it. I think I've managed to add about four inches to it so far, it's been so neat to see how it grows little by little!
Since it's been a slow week, I've decided to give you a pattern this time! Just a little simple bookmark pattern I wrote for the Intro To Crochet class I've been teaching at the yarn shop I work at.

Stitch Guide:
Chain- yarn over and pull up a loop though the loop on your hook.
Single Crochet- insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop back though the stitch. You now have two loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through both loops on your hook.
Turn Your Work- Turn the project around so that your hook is back on the right hand side. (Or on the left hand side if left handed.)
Pattern
Beginning Chain: Make a slipknot and make 35 chains.
Row 1: Chain 1 more time. Insert your hook into the second Chain from your hook and Single Crochet. Single Crochet across all 35 Chains. Turn Your Work.
Row 2: Chain 1, Single Crochet across the row into the previous row of Single Crochet stitches 35 times, when you get to the end of the row Turn Your Work.
Row 3: Chain 1, Single Crochet across the row into the previous row of Single Crochet stitches 35 times, at the end of the row Turn Your Work.
Repeat row 3 until the bookmark is the desired size.
When you reach the end of your last row of Single Crochet stitches Chain 1 and cut yarn about 5-8 inches away from your project, leaving a long tail. Pull the tail through the Chain to make a knot, fastening off the project.
Weave in the tail of yarn into and under crochet stitches, back and forth 3 times, using a yarn needle. Trim excess yarn.
Tada! You did it!
Hope you have a lovely week!

Savvy
