Bag Holders and Tank Tops

 Hello again!

These last two weeks have been on the slow side and so crafting has been a main focus when I can shake off the dizziness and nausea to actually engage in them! SNRI withdrawals SUCK. So while I can, I thought I'd give a little update.

Last week I worked on and completed a crochet grocery bag holder, or as my family likes to call it, a "bag bag." It was a much needed improvement that I'd been putting off for years and I gotta say, it does look pretty cute! I followed the pattern Boho Bag Saver by Day's Crochet and Knit that was posted as a free pattern back in 2020. I decided against the decorative tassel piece at the end since I lacked the necessary wood bead, but I think it turned out pretty adorable anyway.

I also started a new knitting project, the Costa Tank by Bluebird Pine Shop. I've only made it through to the first armhole shaping section, but I'm a pretty slow knitter. I'm using yarn I bought originally intending to knit socks, this gorgeous blue and purple yarn from Shirsty Cat's stand at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival back in 2023. I was looking at it and just couldn't bring myself to make such beautifully dyed yarn into something that only I could really see and appreciate! And so I was inspired by a friend at the knittery to try my hand at my first larger knitting project and go for a tank top. I'm not loving all the purling so far (I know, I know that's like half of knitting,) but I am loving the result!

I've got a intro to crochet class coming up that I will be leading and wooooo am I nervous! I prepared a little bookmark pattern of my own to give out and teach from and whipped one up to show the class before we start. Hopefully it will all go well! I'll share the pattern I made here another time, but for now I wish you a lovely day!

Your Crafting Buddy,

Savvy
